Have a HOOT on your Birthday!

I made this double tag card for a birthday card swap with my girlfriends. It was fun to use my favorite Papertrey ink owl stamps. One of the tags says Happy Birthday which is a Stampin up stamp and the other is left blank for a personal birthday message. I stamped the wording onto ribbon which turned out better than I had anticipated. The tags and scalloped circles were done with the cricut.

These adorable owls have glossy accent eyes and stickled bellies. The branch is from a CTMH set and has glitter embossing on it.

Happy Birthday Tag

I was just trying out my new stamps from Oxford Impressions. They have the most beautiful stamps. In distressing the stamped image and then glimmer misting the whole tage, it has an aged feel to it. I was happy with the final product and happy with my new stamps.

Valentine's Day

I love the playfulness of this page. I used the EK Success corner rouder to make the large scallops on the circles. I love the bright colors in contrast with the black pages.

Pumpkin Patch

I wanted to fit many pics on this layout. I was able to get 10 shots on there. I painted the cardstock with a metallic acrylic as I also did the flower. I left a lot of room for journaling because it was such a fun memorable day that I wanted to make sure it was all written down.

I just picked out any chipboard letters I could find leftover and covered them with matching stickles. I love being able to take random letters in odd colors and make them work.

First Photo

I found this adorable die cut at the scrapbook expo. The belly opens up to put the picture of the ultrasound. I made a CD holder so that I will have it instead of lose it in the future. I also put in a hidden tag with some thoughts of the day. The flowers are made of felt and the stems are ribbon. Of course a litte stickles .

Oui! Oui!

This is an invitation I made for my Mother-in-laws 70th birthday. It was a french themed party. I used the lace from CTMH stamps and for course added my bling with the stickles.

Christmas necklaces

I decided on a whim to make necklaces for the woman in my family for Christmas. I thought it would be fun. I found the pendants and then with some stamping, chalking, painting etc.. here is what I came up with. Some trial and error, but I learned and it was fun. I used glossy accents over the top to protect the image and give it a shine.

I made this one for my younger sister. I thought she might have fun with it when she went out to the clubs. Just a little funky.

The ink smudged a bit from the glossy accents. I figured not to use water color pencils for the color.

A Christmas pendant I made using a domino.

I guess I learned from my mistakes. I thought the paper was completely flat, but after the glossy accents and drying, the paper had buckled.

Snow Day

I did a little stamping on this for the background snowflakes. I didn't have room for journaling, so made a hidden tag. Of course I added a little sparkle because that is what snow it like.

Funky Journal

I taught my girlfriends how to make this book. I learned how to do the stitching part from a class I took with Tim Holtz. It is such a simple yet elegant technique. Then I found a picture of this book that Doris Arndt taught a class of. It is chipboard covered with metallic duct tape that I purchased at Home Depot. Then splashed with alcohol inks. I used copper strips on the front and back. This project was fun and I really enjoyed teaching it and pulling it all together.

The Precious Yellow Dress

I was holding on to this little yellow dress for 10 years in hopes of having a little girl. When I did, I was so happy when I could finally put it on her. My husband is supposed to put his thoughts in the other oval, but it wasn't done yet, still working on him. I did however do some stitching for the first time. I realized how easy it was.

Sands of Time

This was on Mother's Day. My daughter with her cousins so happy watching the waves. I loved this page because I really wanted to show how important it is to take your time and enjoy the little things. I used actual sand for "Sands" from my daughters sandbox :).

Owl ATC

I love owls, so I did and Owl ATC swap. These owls are from Papertrey Ink. I have used them numerous times, I love them.

ABC ATC Swap

I got the letter H in the swap. I thought Home was a nice thing for kids to understand. I had fun, but had to make 26, so it was kind of a lot. I cut the house, trees, and grass with the cricut machine. I masked the clouds and embossed and stickled the trees and windows with some beads in the grass to give dimension. My daughter loves all the cards I got in return. I put them in plastics sheets so she could look at them and practice.

Glitter ATC Swap!

I love a little sparkle. These butterflies are Papertrey ink, with a little embossing, glimmer mist, and stickles, I have my 2nd ATC.

My First ATC swap!

I had never made an ATC before, but thought it would be fun to do a swap. The theme was pink and brown. I love birds and swirls so went with it. I thought for my first try that it turned out pretty good. Wasn't sure what to expect with the ATC's I received, but did think I did well in comparison.

Bouquet of Flowers

Tried the cricut out again with the boxes and tags cartridge. Just another fun little thing I gave my mom for her birthday.

Mother's Day Present

I made this for my mom last year. I incorporated all her 5 grandchildren. I got the idea from a British magazine, unfortunately I can't remember the name, but they are given credit for the design. I used about 6 sheets of cardstock and hand cut the swirls. It was fun to completely start from scratch. She loved the gift!

Guy Cards!

These cards were made for my cousins. I used the cricut for the lettering. Trying to get the hang of how it works.
